The programmable room controllers ecos504/505 form the heart of SAUTER's integrated automation solutions for rooms. They combine all key functions – from the control of room temperature and lighting to sun shading controlled by the position of the sun – into a single system. Control is performed with high precision. Presence functions, window monitoring, demand-based ventilation, lighting and sun shading control, and time-dependent settings optimize energy consumption.
The ecos room controllers offer all the functions required for all room applications. Sensors and actuators can be connected directly. The significant reduction in interfaces considerably simplifies planning, installation, and maintenance. Furthermore, the compact DIN rail mounting housing ensures that the controllers are also highly suitable for mounting in electrical distribution systems. Thanks to this and predefined application libraries, commissioning is also particularly simple and efficient.
Open to any challenge
The openness of the ecos room automation stations offers long-term investment security, whether for new buildings or modernization. They support all common communication protocols, thereby effortlessly meeting all requirements for integrated room automation. Thanks to standard communication via BACnet/IP or BACnet/SC, all components can be integrated into a network in a smart and efficient manner, integrating the automation of primary systems and management level. BACnet/SC ensures encrypted data transmission and thus maximum and future-proof cybersecurity. The system is also based on proven standards for the integration of individual systems: DALI (Digital Addressable Lighting Interface) for lighting enables intelligent lighting control and is crucial for optimal lighting conditions. Sun shading is controlled via SMI (Standard Motor Interface), which ensures precise and silent positioning of the blinds. With KNX or Modbus as the fieldbus in the room, individual requirements regarding design, ease of use, and functional expansions can be implemented without difficulty. In addition, Modbus and M-Bus make it possible to accurately record energy consumption in individual rooms or zones.
Scalable and flexible
Thanks to a complete and well-thought-out portfolio, integrated room automation with ecos room controllers grows flexibly with the requirements of the building and the users. Up to 16 I/O modules, 8 room control units, and 16 smart sensors enable the integration of all sensors and actuators for integrated room automation. The optional IoT Cloud Connector provides access to cloud services and IoT solutions. Thanks to the concept of modular room segments (“moving walls”), rooms can be divided into different room zones, automated in a zone-based manner, and can be flexibly adapted during use without any structural intervention. Thanks to BACnet, all settings are easily managed via the building management system.
The control options are just as varied. From a wired control unit with buttons and wireless operators with bidirectional EnOcean communication to elegant touch panels: the ecoUnit control devices offer users complete control. Temperature, lighting, blinds, or ventilation can be adjusted intuitively. Furthermore, SAUTER Mobile Building Services enables secure and individual room control via the Mobile Room Control app.
