With the new LoRa-2-GBS Gateway you can set up wireless networks in no time LoRa sensors add to your existing building management system (BMS).

The MCS LoRa-2-GBS Gateway is an all-in-one Gateway to easily connect your building management or control system to wireless LoRa sensors via BACnet IP. This allows you to benefit from the advantages of your BMS and enjoy all the benefits of wireless, battery-powered sensors. For example, sustainability due to the long life of the batteries.

In addition, you do not need to install a wired infrastructure if you connect your GBS to the LoRa-2-GBS Gateway. The payback period of this Gateway is therefore very fast. It is also a solution for locations where cabling is not an option, such as in monumental buildings. 

LoRa-2-GBS Gateway: 1 Gateway that combines 4 technologies 

The LoRa-2-GBS Gateway is in fact a combination of different technologies in one Gateway: 

• It is a LoRa Base station with internal LoRaWan server. This way you can set up a Private LoRa network. So you do not need a public LoRa or external LoRaWan server and therefore you have no monthly costs. 
• Payload conversion of the sensors can be done in the Gateway. This way you do not need an external payload conversion server. This also avoids monthly costs. 
• BACnet IP protocol is used to communicate with your building management system.
• MQTT or other protocols communicate with your application server.

In addition to BACnet IP, other protocols, such as Modbus, Mbus, P1 and I/Os, can optionally be set on request. Thanks to a smart API link with an application platform (for example the BMS system), the data is always visible to the end customer.

There are 2 versions possible: LoRa-2-GBS Ethernet and LoRa-2-GBS LTE. This last version is interesting if it is difficult to use the customer's network to communicate the data. 

MCS LoRa sensors are already pre-configured 

The LoRa-2-GBS Gateway works with all LoRa sensors that MCS supplies. These sensors are automatically 'provisioned' with the configuration wizard. So you don't have to do any difficult payload decoding yourself - we have already done that for you.
