Additional financing options for innovative SMEs

The European Investment Fund (EIF) and Invest-NL have signed an agreement that will release 66 million euros in additional credits for innovative SMEs. This EIF guarantee is made available by the European Commission from the European Fund for Strategic Investments (EFSI).

The Dutch financing institution Invest-NL offers financing opportunities for innovative entrepreneurs with investments worth 5 million euros to 50 million euros. Specific attention is paid to whether projects focus on climate neutrality and aim at a circular economy.

The credit guarantees for SMEs come from the European programme 'Horizon 2020', which is specifically aimed at research and innovation. With this guarantee facility, innovative SMEs can gain better and easier access to financing. The conditions are also more favourable. For example, there is a lower interest rate.
