On August 11, 2020, Gepro became a partner of IoT academy. In the presence of Jasper Kuin (director) and Fabian van Prooijen (Operational manager) of the IoT academy and Ludo Zwaan (director of Gepro), the agreement was signed in the beautiful setting of the former RDM shipyard.
IoT expertise from Gepro
Gepro would like to contribute their 10 years of IoT expertise to the collaboration in order to inspire visitors to the academy with IoT possibilities. Gepro makes products 'smarter' for their B2B customers by developing and producing the entire IoT chain - from sensor to visualization.
Appealing cases include the monitoring and control of mini-cranes, climate control in trailers and a detection system for storage tanks for the chemical industry. A number of these applications will be posted on the IoT Academy website.
Jasper Kuin sees opportunities: 'this collaboration fits perfectly with our ambition, to create an ecosystem with small and large parties to accelerate IoT innovation in the Netherlands.'
Added by Ludo Zwaan: 'during our conversation we immediately shared valuable knowledge about white papers, possible contributions to education and made suggestions for new suppliers.'
IoT Academy at the former RDM shipyard
The former Rotterdam Dry Dock Company (RDM) has been an Innovation Dock since 2010. It is a place where students conduct research, startups grow into full-fledged companies and successful manufacturing companies come up with new ideas.
