Helmholz Benelux introduces the RevPi Compact – the latest addition to the Revolution Pi family
The new RevPi Compact is an addition to the well-known Revolution Pi family that is marketed in the Benelux by Helmholz Benelux. It is a powerful and compact controller based on the Raspberry Pi 3+ Compute Module with extensive connectivity options and functions.
Sensors and actuators can be connected directly via eight digital and analog inputs, and eight digital and two analog outputs. Thanks to two Ethernet interfaces, each with its own MAC address, the device can be integrated into two different networks at the same time. In addition, four USB A ports and a 4-pin RS485 interface are integrated.
As with all other components within the RevPi family, the RevPi compact is also completely based on open source. This gives users the opportunity to carry out their projects with maximum design freedom.
The flat design makes the RevPi compact easy to install in a distribution box, e.g. for building automation.
RevPi Compact is configured using the PiCtory browser application. This is already pre-installed. The operating system is a custom Raspbian with real-time patch.
Individual applications can be programmed via Node-RED, Python or directly in C. The popular industrial protocols Modbus RTU and Modbus TCP are supported as standard.
Optionally (at an additional cost), ready-made, professional software solutions such as Codesys or logi.CAD can also be used.
In addition to supplying the RevPi, Helmholz Benelux is also able to support you in the development of applications.
