Objects will appeal to the imagination much more and of course stand out much more if they are lit in the right way. There is a lot of demand for the lively or dramatic lighting of objects. It is important that the original colours stand out through colour saturation and contrast. What do you choose to achieve the right effect. How do you achieve the extra feeling that we call Quality of Light.

COB means 'Chip on board' and is a positioning technique of the LED chips in an LED lamp. With COB, the many small LED light points are positioned so close together in a circle that they cannot be distinguished from each other with the naked eye. This makes it an increasingly better replacement for the traditional halogen spot/lamp. Navid Delassaee of Citizen (on behalf of Elincom electronics) gives a practical demonstration in which regular COB LEDs are compared with COB LEDs that, with special techniques such as phosphor tuning, have a high color saturation.

After this demonstration it will be clear that choosing a type of LED involves more than just brightness and efficiency.
