With the advent of digitalization in the industrial sector, machine manufacturers can develop completely new machines and devices. At the same time, this provides a much more intensive operating experience for the end user. With the Series 84 IO-Link Touch, digital machine systems can be equipped with controls and operated quickly and easily.

Easily connected via a digital network. Thanks to the globally established IO-Link communication interface and programmable connection options, the innovative switches can be networked to a sophisticated machine system via an integrated M12 5-pin screw connection with a mounting depth of only 25.8 mm, thus making the equipment compatible with the Industry 4.0 standard.
Freely configurable switches. The switches’ many possible uses are based on a freely selectable configuration that can be precisely tailored to the respective application – from lighting and symbols to the switching function. For example, the lighting can switch on with a deliberate delay when activated. Or the switch’s operational readiness can be signalled by green lighting that changes to yellow when actuated and to red a few seconds later. The configuration remains stored in the switch even when no power is supplied.

Innovative RGB LED lighting. The static or flashing RGB LED lighting in up to 16 million colours is particularly bright. Thanks to the integrated ambient light-adaptable sensor, the switch always illuminates with the right intensity under all lighting conditions – without dazzling or being too dim. This function also optimises the power consumption of the switch and the life of the LED. Four side-illuminated lenses integrated into the front frame ensure excellent visibility of the entire status display. Combined with high-contrast and optionally illuminated standard or customer-specific symbols, the attractive design of the IO-Link Touch means that it can also be visually integrated into any modern application environment.
