The Ion Science ARA is a personal, disposable gas monitor for detecting hydrogen sulfide, carbon monoxide, oxygen or sulfur dioxide.
The instrument is compact and lightweight, making it easy to wear on your work clothes or helmet. With protection class IP67, the device is water and dustproof and can therefore be used in almost all conditions. The low and high alarm levels are set to the current prescribed values as standard. These levels can be set to any desired concentration with the optional Ara IR Link module. An alarm situation is indicated by bright LEDs, an acoustic alarm and a vibration function. The display can show the gas concentration or the remaining operating time. The instrument is equipped with a log function for the last 30 “events”.
After switching on, the ARA will operate continuously for 24 months without maintenance, battery replacement or charging. After this period, you will need to replace the instrument. The models for CO and H2S detection are available with a sleep function. This allows the instrument to be temporarily put into sleep mode, which can extend the service life to a maximum of 36 months.
