Is 2kHz – 150 kHz emission a new EMC problem
Electrical products can emit electromagnetic interference, which poses the risk of malfunctioning connected products, interfering with powerline communications and overheating network infrastructure. Product standards and compliance testing regulate the possible causes of interference below 2 kHz under the EU EMC Directive. New types of electronics, electric vehicle chargers and renewable energy technologies can cause interference in the unregulated 'supra harmonic' range from 2 to 150 kHz.
Arthur Hartsuiker from CN Red gives a lecture in which he focuses on the question of whether 2kHz - 150 kHz emissions are becoming a new (EMC?) problem in installations. What are the effects of the 2kHz – 150 kHz emissions, which are increasingly common in our current installations. A phenomenon that we must take seriously and is this problem getting worse?
