On Wednesday, March 13, 2024, Keysight Technologies and Raditeq signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the EMV 2024 trade fair to jointly perform EMC testing more efficiently. It was agreed that the integration of Keysight's Pathwave Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and Raditeq's EMC test software RadiMation will be jointly promoted.
EMC validation of electronics
With the rapid adoption of electronics, validating the electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) of systems and system components has become a crucial step to ensure that they work well together for vehicle safety and functionality. Manufacturers require intensive EMC testing to ensure that unintended electromagnetic interference (EMI) and electromagnetic susceptibility (EMS) remain within specified limits and that electronic components are immune to interference from external electromagnetic sources. This is a complex task that requires smart and efficient EMC testing, as well as holistic management of EMC laboratory activities.
Keysight and Raditeq Collaboration
Recognizing these challenges, Keysight and Raditeq BV have signed this MoU to combine their efforts in EMC test management. The partners have agreed to create a combined software solution that will help automotive manufacturers simplify and accelerate EMC testing processes in the laboratory. Under the terms of the MoU, the two companies will integrate RadiMation® Pro EMC, a test control and execution software, into PathWave Lab Operations for EMC Test, a laboratory management platform (LIMS) that holistically manages EMC test projects. This combined software solution will optimize and accelerate the entire laboratory workflow, from complete and automated testing of equipment under test (EUT) to efficiently managing administrative tasks such as automated scheduling and test report generation.
RadiMation open software
“The partnership with Keysight Technologies underscores Raditeq's strategy to deliver an EMC test software suite that is open to all brands of EMC hardware, EMC standards and laboratory software”, said John de Rooij, RadiMation Project Manager, Raditeq. “The combination of RadiMation and PathWave Lab Operations provides our customers with an integrated and powerful solution for EMC testing.”
The combined software solution includes: RadiMation® Pro EMC test and measurement software makes fully compliant, automated EMC testing a reality. It supports all common EMC test standards in a single software package and even allows the user to define customer-specific tests. PathWave Lab Operations for EMC test complements RadiMation® Pro and supports a holistic laboratory workflow from customer request to final test report. This laboratory management software accelerates EMC test lab operations by modernizing workflows, optimizing test scheduling, and automating report generation.
Simplified laboratory management
“We are pleased to combine our efforts with Raditeq BV and their EMC testing experts to optimize the EMC testing experience for our customers based on the complementary capabilities of our two software solutions.,” said Sven Kopacz, Autonomous Vehicle Section Manager, Automotive and Energy Solutions, Keysight Technologies. “With this collaboration, we enable our customers to simplify complex test execution and enable holistic laboratory management, while reducing time-to-market by accelerating the entire process.”
At the EMV'2024 trade fair, which took place from 12 to 14 March in Cologne, the MoU was officially signed and ratified by René Dijkstra (Raditeq) and Sven Kopacz (Keysight).
