Smart solutions for digital building management
Digital solutions are essential for future-proof real estate operations. They increase efficiency in building processes and support the achievement of sustainability targets. SAUTER’s cloud-based digital services demonstrate what the building management of the future looks like.
Ambitious climate targets and the need to drastically reduce greenhouse gas emissions pose major challenges for the real estate sector. The digitalization of building management is an essential lever for meeting regulatory requirements, reducing CO2 emissions, and simultaneously lowering operating and energy costs. Real-time building data, location-independent system management, automated optimization processes, and smart control options: the list of benefits is long. SAUTER’s modular and cloud-based digital services offer a proven way to operate buildings in the future. The key components are the SAUTER Customer Portal and SAUTER Remote Management. But what added value do these two services actually offer?
Customer portal: consolidated information at a glance
As the central platform for SAUTER building automation projects, the SAUTER Customer Portal offers a comprehensive overview of all relevant project data. In addition to contract and contact details, the cloud-based web application provides asset and service managers with consolidated (building) information, including live data on installation performance, ease of use, and usage, as well as energy consumption and costs. Relevant status information, key figures (KPIs), maintenance plans, and maintenance information are displayed specifically for the user in the individually configurable dashboard. The clear data display, combined with automated alarms and suggestions for operational optimization, ensures maximum transparency and efficiency. This allows users to detect deviations from normal operation at an early stage and implement improvements if necessary. Integrated remote access with SAUTER Remote Management enables system access regardless of location.
The SAUTER Customer Portal is connected to the SAUTER cloud and offers maximum flexibility as software-as-a-service. Access is possible via any web browser and is therefore independent of hardware, operating system, and location. Encrypted communication via HTTPS with two-factor authentication guarantees maximum security.
Remote Management: decentralized building control, anytime and anywhere
SAUTER Remote Management is a valuable component of the digital service offering, not only in conjunction with the SAUTER Customer Portal but also beyond. It enables the active and direct delivery of services for building automation, energy management, associated IT infrastructure, and software applications. Building administrators and facility managers can access and actively manage decentralized systems and applications at any time and from any location via remote access. This allows sources of failure to be detected more quickly and malfunctions to be resolved in the short term. Services such as commissioning, maintenance, and application expansions can also be performed easily and efficiently from a remote location.
As a service of the SAUTER Cloud, access takes place via a network connection using a browser and Windows client. Secure communication is guaranteed by protocols such as HTTPS, RDP/VNC, and VPN. Additionally, there are various security features, including extensive user management and verification based on multi-factor authentication.
SAUTER Remote Management can be individually tailored to the customer's needs using subscription models, thereby guaranteeing a high degree of flexibility. The only requirement is the installation of the Remote Management connector and a VPN connection to the SAUTER Cloud. The Remote Management connector serves as a universal gateway and, as of this year, is equipped with extensive technical interfaces such as BACnet/IP, BACnet/MSTP, and Modbus TCP or RTU. This means that existing systems or third-party systems can also be integrated using standardized communication protocols. SAUTER Remote Management therefore serves more than ever as a central platform for the import and export of data from all disciplines of building automation.
