Brief economic corona news from July 1

The industry was less negative regarding its export position in June compared to May. That's what CBS says based on the monthly Business Survey of the Netherlands. All sectors within the industry assessed their export order position as negative on balance in June.

Last month was the best sales month ever for used cars. A total of 120,550 used models were sold, reports Nu.nl. According to trade organization RAI, the record is related to the reluctance of many people to travel by public transport again.

At aircraft manufacturer Airbus more than 15,000 jobs will disappear. More than 10,000 people are being sent home in the factories in Hamburg and Toulouse, France.

Half of large companies think that in a year's time they will employ fewer people than is currently the case. This is the conclusion of employers' association AWVN based on a survey: message BNR. One in ten companies also expects that a major reorganization will be necessary.
