Brief economic corona news from October 19

- The daily number of new corona infections in the Netherlands decreased slightly on Monday to 8015 cases. That is 162 fewer than on Sunday. The number of hospital admissions was 86, an increase of 16 compared to the previous day.
- Philips has seen sales growth due to increased demand for ventilators and monitors in the third quarter from 10 percent to 5 billion euros. The profit grew to 15.5 percent.
- The Chinese economy is recovering in the third quarter. Growth was 4.9 percent compared to the same period a year ago. Industry is doing particularly well, writes RTL News.
- Due to capacity problems at the SZW Inspectorate (labour inspectorate), it can take years before fined entrepreneurs get back wrongly imposed fines. This is evident from a analysis of the FD.
