- On Wednesday, the RIVM reported 8,213 new corona infections. However, due to a technical malfunction, this number is incorrect: a correction is expected tomorrow. Furthermore, the RIVM reports 92 new hospital admissions, 17 fewer than on Tuesday. The number of corona deaths (54) also decreases by 16.
- There will be a total of 25 rapid test locations in several major cities at the end of November. There will also be seven 'XL test locations' where, in addition to rapid tests, regular PCR tests will also be administered. These should be ready in December, reports NRC.
- There may be negative travel advice for holidays abroad during the Christmas period. This can be concluded from advice from the Outbreak Management Team NOS reports. The travel industry responds angrily.
- Dutch population growth has almost halved due to the corona pandemic, it appears from figures from Statistics Netherlands for the third quarter. Immigrants are staying away and there was a higher mortality in the spring. In the third quarter, 39 thousand new residents were added.
- Boeing is cutting another 7,000 jobs worldwide. The aircraft manufacturer had previously cut twelve thousand jobs.
