Brief economic corona news from November 6

- The RIVM reports on Friday that 7272 new infections have been added. That is 288 more than Thursday. There is a decrease in hospitals: 94 admissions (seven fewer than Thursday). The number of corona deaths increased by 31 to 118.
- Schiphol will have an XL testing facility where between 3,000 and 12,000 tests can be taken per day, reports the central government. XL test lanes will also be set up in Utrecht, Groningen, Rotterdam and The Hague. The safety regions of IJssellanden, Twente and South Limburg and West Brabant will have L test lanes.
- Since the start of the corona crisis, there have been almost a million fewer referrals from GPs to hospitals or clinics. That says the Dutch Healthcare Authority (NZa)The number of referrals last week was 73 percent of the expected level without the corona pandemic.
- A lockdown has been imposed in seven municipalities in the north of Denmark. The reason is that mutated corona viruses have jumped from mink to humans. There are fears that potential vaccines are less effective due to the mutations, it can be read at the NOS.
- CBS reports that approximately 3,600 people died last week. That is an 'excess mortality' of more than two hundred people more than in the previous week and seven hundred more than under normal circumstances.
