- The RIVM reports 2273 new corona infections on Monday. That is 1667 less than the day before, but many corona test streets were closed on Sunday. The number of new hospital admissions with corona patients fell by 18 to 40 on Monday.
- The curfew has been extended by the caretaker cabinet until March 2, as can be read in the Telegraaf. For at least another three weeks, no one will be allowed on the streets after 9 p.m. without good reason.
- South Africa temporarily suspends use of AstraZeneca vaccine, NOS reports. According to research, it has been shown that the vaccine does not work well against the South African variant. The United Kingdom and Germany deny that the vaccine does not work well.
- People who feel lonelier during the corona period will incur 40 to 50 percent more healthcare costs than people who do not experience this, writes NU.nlOne in ten Dutch people feel very lonely and four in ten to some extent.
- KLM has a world first by operating a commercial passenger flight using synthetic kerosene. The fuel for the Boeing 737 was produced by Shell based on water, CO2 and agricultural waste, reports the central government.
