- The RIVM reports 3736 new positive tests on Friday, 85 more than on Thursday. On average, the number of positive tests is increasing.
- The French state must do more to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The French government must also repair the ecological damage it has caused through its own negligence, a judge has ruled, writes the FD.
- Nearly half of all large Dutch companies used one or more artificial intelligence implementations in 2019, reports CBS based on survey results. Examples include speech recognition, machine learning and pattern or facial recognition. In companies with ten employees or more, 12 percent use AI applications.
- Last month, 718,598 cars were registered in the EU, the lowest number since 1995 and 23 percent less than a year ago. The chip shortage is mainly responsible for this, says the European automotive industry association ACEA.
- According to the Chinese central bank, the teetering real estate giant Evergrande does not pose a major threat to the financial system. The central bank qualifies the risks as manageable, reports Bloomberg.
