- The RIVM reports 7,425 new corona infections on Friday. That is 1254 more than on Thursday and higher than the weekly average of last week (6054).
- The court in The Hague has declared inadmissible a case by Koninklijke Horeca Nederland (KHN) regarding the payment of subsidies in the context of the Fixed Cost Allowance (TVL). According to the court, the case does not belong in the civil court, but must be submitted to an administrative judge, writes RTL News.
- Organizers of concerts, festivals, sports competitions and conferences can start planning their events again from July 1. If the events cannot take place after July 1, the organizers will need a cancellation subsidy from the government. This amounts to a maximum of 80 percent as a gift. The remaining 20 percent is a loan. An amount of EUR 385 million has been reserved for the guarantee fund, reports the central government.

- The family business VDL, one of the largest industrial companies in the Netherlands, is recording better results. Turnover grew in the fourth quarter and VDL expects turnover growth of 10 percent for 2021, writes the FD. Employment also largely remained at the same level.
