- The RIVM reports 23,039 infections on Tuesday. That is 8 fewer than Monday. On a weekly basis, the number of positive tests rose by 38 percent to 154 thousand infections, a new record.
- Due to the recent tightening of the corona rules, the number of PIN transactions has fallen, writes De Volkskrant based on transaction figures from ING. Particularly in the hospitality and cultural sectors, less is being used by card users.

- Belgium and Denmark have reached an agreement for the construction of a connection cable for the supply of Danish wind energy. The submarine cable will be approximately 600 kilometres long. In 2030, Denmark wants to construct an artificial island to which 3GW of wind farms will be connected. Surpluses can be exported to Belgium via the cable, reports De Tijd.
