Kropman makes buildings greener, healthier and more efficient. The company has many years of experience in the industry, knows everything about 'the building of the future' and is happy to share that knowledge. That is also one of the reasons why Kropman is a sponsor of the FHI event Digital Building of the Future. Account manager Judith Reijnen talks about it.
From installations to building automation
Judith: “We were originally an installation company, but many disciplines have been added in recent years.” That had to be the case, because the construction industry is also not standing still in these times of technological development. “The market for building automation is becoming increasingly important and can be better put on the map. That is why we have been a member of FHI since 2011 and we now sponsor the FHI event Digital Building of the Future. As a specialist, we can share our knowledge and enter into discussions with our customers, advisors and other parties.”
This keeps Kropman busy
During the FHI event Digital Building of the Future, these themes are central: sustainability; digitalization; safety; Human. Kropman is also working on this. Judith: “We are working hard to make our buildings more sustainable and are delving into circular purchasing, electric transport and minimizing our energy consumption. These themes also predominate in our work for clients.”
With an integrated approach, Kropman connects all disciplines and brings together relevant knowledge and skills. Judith: “The independent software platform InsiteSuite makes it possible to read data from all building systems and also control the building in a smart, predictive way. What is unique is that the integration of charging stations is also integrated into energy management.”
Central control for efficient work
Engineers monitor all their customers' systems from Kropman's remote service center in Utrecht. Judith: “They solve any malfunctions remotely. They also analyze data obtained via the additionally installed LoRa sensors, the building management system or other systems, to offer even better customer solutions.” That is exactly the future: measuring is knowing, but with substantive knowledge.
How does Kropman work on the theme of 'humanity'?
Judith: “Then we mainly think about healthy buildings. This also involves digitization. For example, by automating the climate system in a building, you can always work in clean air and a pleasant indoor climate. Constant, so not dependent on external factors. That is good for people.”
Kropman's vision of the building of the future
“We are continuously working on improving the InsiteSuite program, with which building-related installations work fully automatically, are made easily visible, can communicate with each other and can be operated. It can also visualize, store and process all data,” says Judith. This is how her company envisions the building of the future. “Our engineers can therefore operate the installations remotely and make them more efficient, or solve problems. Today's smart technology can also make adjustments based on information obtained and thus predictably manage the lowest possible energy consumption throughout the day.”
