Machevo & Bulk and FHI – for and by members

When arranging the exhibition floor, we take into account the preferences of members and also of non-members if they have registered in time. By involving members in seminars, the content of the seminar program is focused as much as possible on the wishes of the various target groups of visitors.
In visitor recruitment we pay attention to the cooperation between members and exhibitors. Everything is focused on a neutral knowledge transfer, to strengthen the added value for the visitor (and that is also your customers).

That everything works and that is a living and democratic process.

It is precisely through the integration of technical disciplines that visitors recognize that value and especially as associations we can organize continuity and a solid meeting place, which cannot be found online anywhere. The function of an association is of course also to unite.

The origin of the collaboration between Machevo & Bulk and FHI

Since the fifties of the last century, the paths of Machevo & Bulk and FHI have crossed. You could say that the roots of both associations come from the same source. Machevo & Bulk, which stands for MAchinebouw CHemie en Voedingsmiddelen, started as the foundation “Vochema” and FHI was born in 1956 as the cooperative association het instrument. They are both associations of technical companies that focus on industry (food, oil, gas, chemistry, pharmaceuticals).

The Machevo & Bulk association was founded in 1952 as an association for suppliers to the process industry. From that year onwards, a trade fair for machine suppliers to the food and chemical industry was organised every two years in the Rotterdam Ahoy halls under the name VOCHEMA. In 1959, the name was changed to Machevo Association and the first new trade fair under this name was also held. In 1963, the association joined the Vereniging Koninklijke Nederlandse Jaarbeurs in Utrecht. Since then, the Machevo trade fair has been held here every three years until 2002. The entry of a number of companies from the bulk sector was reason to change the name to 'Machevo & Bulk' in 2009, which makes the flag even more appropriate..

As associations, Machevo & Bulk and the instrument were strongly focused on good cooperation between members, in order to communicate effectively to visitors and therefore to the potential customers of exhibitors.

In 1956, the instrument was created to have an influence on the program, visitor recruitment and the layout of the exhibition floor. We will also offer this from 2018 to the members of Machevo & Bulk for the World of Industrial Processing. This is physically realized through good cooperation with the board, representatives in the exhibition committee and the involvement of members in projects and seminars.

For and by members is then really very concrete.
