Due to COVID-19, the knowledge organisations (TVVL, WIJ techniek, ISSO and Techniek NL) set up an expert team in April 2020 to answer questions about installation technology and building management. The expert team includes specialists from the TVVL expert groups, ISSO, Binnenklimaat Nederland, Techniek NL and scientific experts with (inter)national relations. An FAQ about Corona in Building Management and Installation Technology was published in the spring. Every week, the expert team answers questions from the market.
We now know that COVID-19 will remain part of our lives for an even longer period of time. The expert group, supplemented by knowledge experts from the field, has started working on the Masterplan Ventilation, which will be rolled out in phases in the fall of 2020. Because what is the indoor climate of our buildings and how do we control it? Can we reduce the risk of infection transmission in buildings by adjusting building installations? These are questions that will largely be answered in the Ventilation Master Plan.
The Masterplan Ventilation provides knowledge, tools and other resources that help professionals to optimize ventilation in buildings. This knowledge is bundled on the website Masterplanventilatie.nl.
The following products are being developed and/or have been delivered:
Quick scan Covid-19 and ventilation in offices – available from October 19, 2020
Quick scan ventilation in schools – available from November 30, 2020
Infographic for different building types – available from 2nd week of December 2020
Calculation tool 'Indication of the risk of infection via aerosols' – available 1st week December 2020
Overview of filter and cleaning techniques – available before the end of 2020, article published in TVVL Magazine no. 5 Oct'20 Filtration and air purification techniques as an alternative in areas with limited ventilation capacity by Ir. Eliane Khoury and Dr. Ir. Francesco Franchimon.
During the day the Bits, Bricks & Behavior conference spoke Joep van der Velden, national manager building automation at Kropman Installation Technology and board member Dutch trade association for Building Automation, Francesco Franchimon working at Franchimon ICM, Jos the Lion working at ISSO knowledge institute and Atze Boerstra (BBA Internal Environment) during a panel discussion about the Ventilation Master Plan. This session can be viewed on the YouTube channel of the Dutch trade association for Building Automation.
