Three components from Microchip Technology play an essential role in the EMI Sniffer, the official World of Electronics gadget of WoTS 2026. With this, Microchip makes a significant contribution to the creation of the gadget. The EMI Sniffer is a handy device that allows you to detect and locate sources of electromagnetic interference (EMI).

Microchip sponsors three components used in the design: the MCP4011-503E/MS digital potentiometer, the MCP73830T-2AAI/MYY Li-Ion battery charge controller, and the MCP6024-I/SL quad operational amplifier.

The EMI Sniffer is a collaborative project involving a large number of sponsors from the electronics industry. Over the years, the trade show gadget has grown into one of the most popular parts of the World of Electronics among engineers, students, and electronics enthusiasts.

Visitors can collect the EMI Sniffer for free on the exhibition floor. The gadget is exclusively available during this edition, and only 1,500 units are available. WoTS 2026 takes place from September 22 to 25 at Jaarbeurs Utrecht.
