The new generation of split cable entry frames for the KT cable gland system are unique due to the possibility of tool-free assembly, the high cable density and the easy feeding of pre-assembled cables. The new KEL-FA divisible cable entry system from icotek is a compact system for feeding and sealing cables with and without connectors, as well as hydraulic and pneumatic hoses.
Operation is very simple: After the frame has been assembled with the grommets and cables of the KT type, the bracket is inserted and the two levers are locked with the lower part by pressing them down. A two-stage locking is used here. In the first step, the components are brought together and the grommets are positioned precisely. The second step ensures optimum pressure and secure locking. This eliminates the need to screw the cover onto the frame. The anti-rotation design of the KEL-FA enables intuitive assembly. Adjustments, repairs and maintenance can always be carried out quickly and easily. The guarantee on pre-assembled cables remains valid.
The mounting height of the cable entry frame is 22mm. Another advantage is the integrated gasket on the back, which ensures a perfect seal between the KEL-FA frame and the wall. A high strain relief according to EN62444 on the cable is possible when using icotek KT grommets. By using multi-grommets, a very high cable density (up to 40 cables in one frame) can be achieved. In combination with the IMAS-CONNECT™ adapter system from icotek, the KEL-FA becomes an all-rounder and almost unlimited in its areas of application. The KEL-FA consists of polyamide and is free of silicone and halogen. The new frame for cable entry achieves protection class IP54. Certification for UL Type 12 (according to UL 50E) is in progress. The temperature range is -40 ° C to + 140 ° C (static).
