Dear PLOT members,
First of all, best wishes for a beautiful 2022 in good health and prosperity.
Let us assume that this will be the year of an anniversary celebration, of more physical gatherings and new opportunities. We have shown that even in difficult times, the PLOT is a close-knit group with unprecedented strengths. A group that can deal flexibly with changing circumstances and that also radiates enormous loyalty.
This has also required the necessary sacrifices for the board and FHI. The constant switching, reserving and cancelling, constantly (re)considering, what can we offer the members now, how do we deal with the working groups and how do we keep ongoing research sharp, how do we get input from the sister organisations, what do we do with CEEES etc.?
I would like to thank you - the members, the board and FHI - especially for this loyalty and perseverance. It seems that we can increasingly leave the dip of last year behind us in 2022 and that we can use this energy for a positive(er) future in the coming year. In all health, with the construction of physical meetings and with even more meaning for you as a member of the PLOT.
With the experiences gained in the past period, we will appreciate these meetings even more and I look forward to meeting you again in person. To put our money where our mouth is, a strategy session with the board and FHI has been planned for January 2022, where we will shape the plan for the coming years. We will remain as active and driven as ever and together with you, it will simply be a success again!
Finally, thanks again for all the input, loyalty and drive. We will toast virtually to a great year and later this year we will physically 'toast' to almost 26 years of PLOT.
