OMRON establishes a dedicated and dedicated robotics organization to increase customer value
This reinforces OMRON’s commitment to complete automation solutions, while providing localized support and global innovation.
OMRON has announced the establishment of a dedicated global robotics organization effective April 1, 2025. This strategic move reflects OMRON’s continued commitment to robotics as a core part of its value proposition and a key pillar of its complete end-to-end automation solutions. The new robotics organization will work in tandem with OMRON’s automation business, allowing them to complement and strengthen each other.
Through this new organization, OMRON is further investing in the long-term success of its customers by ensuring rapid decision-making and world-class technical support, and strengthening its specialized expertise across Europe. The investment also includes OMRON’s Centers of Excellence for Automation and Robotics in Annecy, Barcelona, Dortmund, and the recently opened Automation Center in Stuttgart, and an extensive network of proof-of-concept (PoC) laboratories that support local customer innovation.
The specialized organization in Europe consists of a dedicated and passionate team of sales, application and service engineers. They work both at European and country level and work closely with the global robotics organization. This new system enhances the focused technical expertise, while OMRON can respond even faster to the changing needs of customers.
“Robots play a crucial role in our vision for the future of automation. This investment reflects our strong focus on building expertise, quality of service and helping our customers stay competitive,” said Fernando Colás, CEO of OMRON Industrial Automation EMEA. “We are leveraging the optimal structure for continued excellence in innovation and customer satisfaction.”
“I am excited to launch this new initiative, which is all about helping our customers get the most out of their robotics investments,” said Vincent Nabat, General Manager of OMRON Robotics EMEA. “With a dedicated robotics organization, we can respond faster to local needs, provide more direct access to technical expertise, and work even more closely with our customers on joint development projects involving fixed, mobile, and collaborative robots.”
The new organization also strengthens ties with OMRON’s global R&D and robotics teams, alongside the new European R&D team. This supports faster innovation and the delivery of solutions that closely match the specific needs of European customers.
