Entrepreneur's Day 2026
Entrepreneurship is looking ahead
By: Hans Risseeuw
New technology does not come to market by itself. Behind every product, every innovation, and every technical solution stands an entrepreneur who decides to invest, hires people, and bears responsibility.
On Friday, November 20, 2026, the Netherlands will reflect on this during the Day of the Entrepreneur. MKB-Nederland has been organizing this day annually on the third Friday of November since 2016 as recognition of the contribution of entrepreneurs to employment, growth, and progress.[1]
For FHI, this appreciation is a matter of course. Our members operate in technology markets where innovation and entrepreneurship are closely intertwined. At the same time, entrepreneurs require favorable framework conditions. FHI therefore also brings their interests to the attention of politicians and the government through MKB-Nederland. The labor market & education, the business climate, and industrial policy are the key priorities in this regard.
Ultimately, Entrepreneur's Day is about something simple: appreciation for people who stick their necks out and turn ideas into business.
That is why we would like to put our members in the spotlight on November 20.
