Claranet will be an exhibitor this year at the World of Industry, Technology & Science 2024 in the Jaarbeurs Utrecht
The World of Industry, Technology & Science (WoTS) will be the vibrant heart of the Benelux from September 24 to 27, 2024! For this article we speak with Sales Specialist Mark Wellink and Product Manager Henk Liebeek about this fair and the reason why Claranet is present as an exhibitor with a Cybersecurity proposition.
Can you tell us why Claranet is presenting at the World of Industry, Technology & Science in 2024?
Mark: "Certainly! The World of Industry, Technology & Science is the perfect opportunity for us to present ourselves as a reliable player in the field of cybersecurity. At the fair we will present our cybersecurity proposition with a focus on Operational Technology, also known as OT security. This provides the right context and audience for us to tell our story and interest potential customers in our offering.”
Henk: “The fair is known as the most important fair in the Benelux for innovative technologies in a broad area of (manufacturing) industry, electronics and laboratories. We are going to show ourselves as a pioneer in the field of cybersecurity for operational technology and this special fair is the perfect opportunity to do that.”
Do you already have ideas for the presentation at the fair?
Mark: “We want to give visitors to our stand the opportunity to get hands-on with our solutions. We want to show how OT security works and how we use it to protect our customers against cyber threats. We have a stand right on the so-called 'Industry Highway' that connects both industrial halls (8 and 11), almost impossible to miss us.”
Henk: “We also plan to highlight our partnership with Fortinet. Fortinet is a well-known and respected brand in the cybersecurity industry and we are excited to leverage their technology and expertise to provide our customers with the best possible solutions.”
What about the OT security market, what is the current state of affairs?
Mark: “The market for OT security is growing rapidly, mainly due to the increase in cyber attacks in general, and not just on the IT side of organizations. Companies responsible for critical infrastructure, such as utilities and manufacturing companies, must ensure they properly protect their OT systems against cyber threats.”
Henk: “Companies are gradually becoming more concerned with OT security, but there is still a lack of awareness and expertise. Many systems are often still in a gray area between IT and OT, which means that it is not always clear who exactly is responsible for security. OT security must not fall through the cracks. We are a supplier of both IT and OT security solutions and can therefore bridge the gap.”
Can you tell us more about your cybersecurity proposition for operational technology?
Henk: “Of course! Our cybersecurity proposition is based on Fortinet security solutions. We provide complete end-to-end security for operational technology, from network security to endpoint security. We also offer managed security services, providing our customers with complete peace of mind when it comes to cybersecurity.”
Mark: “One of the most important elements of our solution is the ability to monitor and analyze OT data. This way we can detect suspicious activities in the OT systems and respond quickly to possible threats.”
What has been customer response to your OT security solutions so far?
Mark: “We have received absolutely positive responses from our customers. Many of them have not previously thought about the security of their OT systems and are happy that we can help them protect their systems against potential security risks.”
Henk: “We have also had customers who see the added value of combining IT and OT security. By bringing these two areas together, our customers get a complete end-to-end security solution that minimizes the risks of cyber threats.”
The World of Industry, Technology & Science is from 24 to 27 September 2024 in the Jaarbeurs Utrecht in halls 7 to 11. Claranet has a stand in hall 9, right on the “Industry Highway” that connects halls 8 and 11, both with a focus on industry. connects each other.
