The central government is coming up with an action plan to quickly improve ventilation in school buildings. According to the government, better ventilation in classrooms is urgently needed. For example, there will be a helpline for schools, an emergency service of experts who will help to organize ventilation. Each classroom will also have a CO2 meter.

Schools can obtain advice via the websiteventihulp.nl. A support team of experts can also be called in. Schools are then visited by an expert in the field of ventilation. Schools and municipalities can use the existing SUViS subsidy scheme to improve ventilation until April 30.

In addition, each classroom will have a CO2 meter. Schools receive information from the Ruimte-OK knowledge center about how to use the CO2 meter properly and what you can do if the meter shows too high values.
