His Royal Highness Prince Constantijn will attend the World of Technology & Science trade fair in the Jaarbeurs Utrecht on September 27. The prince will join the WoTS Stories program at 3:30 p.m.The importance of the Semiconductor Industry'. As a special envoy of the Techleap.nl foundation, an organization committed to technological startups and scaleups, the prince will discuss the future of the semiconductor industry with representatives of high-tech companies.

During the lecture program, three speakers from Intel, TSMC and Imec will give their views on current events surrounding semiconductors. The presentations discuss investments, production and research & development. The importance of digitalization, activities in Europe and the possibilities of manufacturing technologies are discussed. Finally, attention is paid to cooperation in the chain and support for startups.

After the presentations there will be a discussion between Prince Constantijn and four prominent start-ups. The prince has been committed to innovative Dutch (tech) companies and startups for years as an independent advisor and in his position as Chief of Cabinet for the European Commission. He is known for his great involvement in new technologies. For example, he is co-initiator of Startup Fest Europe, director of 'Digital Technology and Macro Strategy' at MAP in London and 'Edge Fellow' at Deloitte.
