HELUKABEL introduces the PROFINET Type R Torsion: the cable that works excellently under tough conditions.
HELUKABEL has added a new PROFINET cable to its broad product range of Industrial Ethernet cables: the HELUKAT PROFINET Type R Torsion. PROFINET standards are traditionally divided into three classifications: type A, B and C. From now on there is a new PROFINET TYPE R, which is intended for robotics applications.
Due to technological developments, increased data transmission speeds are required. Dynamic requirements have increased, creating more mechanical stress and electromagnetic interference (EMI). Increased EMI is a byproduct of robot density, i.e. more robots in the same production cell. To achieve the higher required speeds, motors require more power. HELUKAT PROFINET Type R Torsion has a category 5 classification and, thanks to its double shielding, offers excellent transmission characteristics in EMI-heavy environments.
Tested to withstand up to 5 million torsion cycles, the PUR coating is also flame-retardant, halogen-free and suitable for ambient temperatures from – 40° C to + 80° C.
