RP2354A as the heart of the EMI Sniffer

Visitors to WoTS 2026 stand a chance to win the EMI Sniffer: the highly coveted trade show gadget from the World of Electronics. The gadget is unique and only available during WoTS 2026, from September 22 to 25 at Jaarbeurs Utrecht.

With this compact gadget, users can detect electromagnetic signals and disturbances. The front is suitable for high-frequency measurements and locating electromagnetic hotspots. The rear makes it possible to detect pipes behind walls using low-frequency measurements and audio feedback.

The Raspberry Pi RP2354A was chosen as the microcontroller. It offers sufficient computing power for the measurement functions and features built-in flash storage, ensuring that the necessary software is available directly on the gadget.

The trade fair gadget is a collaboration between approximately 25 electronics companies. Visitors can pick up the parts for the gadget from participating exhibitors and assemble the gadget themselves.
