The ScanStation from Interscience is a real-time incubator and colony counting station for centrally incubating, detecting and counting up to 300 petri dishes simultaneously.

 

  • Capacity: from 100 Petri dishes to 300 Petri dishes (depending on the model).
  • Counting on pour plate, surface, spiral, filtration membranes
  • Petri dish dimensions: Ø 55 to 65 mm, Ø 90 mm
  • Telecentric lens
  • Reading time between each bowl: 1 hour

 

A revolutionary concept: 

Colonies are counted automatically during incubation.

  • Incubator: a rotating storage carousel with a capacity of between 100 and 300 Petri dishes, which are processed simultaneously in the thermally controlled incubator with Peltier module ± 1°C.
  • Robotic arm: A robotic arm transfers the petri dishes for time-lapse photography. The robotic arm transports the petri dishes from the carousel to the camera to perform time-lapse photography. ScanStation is equipped with a pressure-sensitive gripper that adapts to all petri dishes.
  • Automatic colony counter: The automatic colony counter detects and counts colonies as they appear. The 5 megapixel ultra-HD camera detects colonies as they appear, before clustering or covering can occur, while separating artifacts. So that you get more accurate and faster results.
