Seminar: the challenges of Internet of Things
On September 27, we will kick off WoTS 2022 with a seminar about Internet of Things (IoT). IoT is playing an increasingly important role in consumer and industrial applications. This brings practical benefits, but also risks in terms of online security and privacy. During the seminar, six experts will update you in one morning about the challenges surrounding IoT and how we can overcome them.
Jan Vonk van Betronic opens the seminar with a lecture on the practical and financial aspects of IoT applications in business. Using a practical example, he discusses the business considerations that are important regarding IoT decision-making. Arco Snoey van TOP electronics introduces a battery with an exceptionally long lifespan during his presentation, so you may never have to replace an IoT device battery again in the future!
If you are interested in tracking things and even people via IoT then you should definitely attend Mathias Laursen's talk. He tells on behalf of CN Red about the pros and cons of tracking through ultra wide band. The morning will be closed by Douwe Schoenmakers from Arcobel and Thomas Brekelmans of Anyware. They explain how the labor and knowledge shortage in the railways can be resolved through the use of IoT.
Also Telerex and Althen will give a lecture, but the topics are not yet known. Chairman Herman Tuininga, director of Salland Electronics, connects the lectures. In short: it will be an inspiring morning that you definitely won't want to miss! Admission to the seminar is free for visitors of WoTS, but Please register in advance.
