Sewerin detection and measuring instruments are used by gas technicians worldwide to make their work easier and safer. The popular EX-TEC PM 4 model has recently been replaced by the new EX-TEC PM 580. Like its predecessor, this instrument is suitable for locating leaks in accessible gas lines (ppm), monitoring the explosion safety of a room (%LEL) and gas measurement up to 100 Vol.%. However, the PM 580 can be additionally equipped with infrared and electrochemical sensors for measuring various gases, including carbon dioxide (CO2), carbon monoxide (CO), hydrogen sulphide (H2S) and oxygen (O2).

This ergonomically designed gas monitor is provided with a rubber coating, which makes the device comfortable to hold. The operation is very easy with user-friendly Dutch menus. The large display offers a high contrast and background lighting, which makes it easy to read under all conditions. The PM 580 contains a powerful sampling pump. If a limit value is exceeded, the user is alerted with light signals and an acoustic signal. Of course, the PM 580 is ATEX certified and dust and waterproof (IP65), which means that the device can be used under almost all conditions. A fully automatic test station for this instrument is also possible.
