Current topics such as interactive machine learning, big data, data integrity and workflow optimization were discussed during the successful LabAutomation event 2019 on Tuesday, March 26, 2019.
With 355 visitors, Congrescentrum 1931 at the Brabanthallen in Den Bosch was once again well filled with professionals from the lab world. At 32 stands they could be informed about the state of affairs in the field of lab automation, from the latest robot streets to the newest software solutions.

Interactive Machine Learning was discussed in the presentation of Adrie Atsma of Vitens. He explained how the microbiology department of Vitens laboratory is working on an innovative module for automatic counting/assessment of culture plates. With the aim of replacing manual counting with a fully automated counting system, based on Interactive Machine Learning.
Every lab company is a data company. With that statement, Erik Bos of Qlip his presentation. He gave an insight into the way Qlip applies data science to their 'Big Data' sources to make predictions about milk quality and pasture grazing, among other things. Read here the interview with Erik.
Martin Bosch gave in his closing keynote the vision of Genmab on the future of lab automation within drug development. Machine learning and artificial intelligence play an important role in this.
