During the entire production process of plywood, chipboard, fibreboard and wood pellets, moisture measurement plays a very important role. If the moisture content in the product is too high or too low, this will lead to lower quality. It can also make further processing of the product impossible.
TEWS Elektronik's patented microwave resonance technology measures the moisture content independently of size, color, (bulk) density and mass. This technique makes it possible to measure both on the surface and in the core of the product. The response time is only 1 to 2 minutes. This technology also measures the core of the product in the production of paper and cardboard. The outcome is not influenced by variations in grammage or color tones.

In-line installation of the TEWS moisture sensor is, for example, possible above or below a conveyor belt. When it comes to wood fibers or chips, they can pass over the sensor either at rest or in free fall, which speeds up production and saves energy. Also on-line the sensor offers a solution for your routine control. You can read more about it here.
