Successful completion of the first edition of Avans+ Safety Officer training course

On February 22, the first participants passed the new course Safety officer followed at Avans+. Participants successfully presented their improvement plan around a current theme in their own workplace.

From November to February, the participants attended meetings with different themes. Attention to management and working with hazardous substances and biological agents. Risk management and creating and following up an RI&E. Analysis of ergonomics and physical demands on their lab and personal leadership. Following these lessons, they all made an improvement plan that was presented to each other. 

Learning together and from each other about these themes was assessed as very valuable. 

In addition to taking the separate courses in the field of safety, there is now also the opportunity to make more impact within this role by following this training. We are proud to have this new course in our portfolio.
