This year Suurmond is celebrating its 50th anniversary! On December 21, 1973, Mr. W. Suurmond founded his company in Nunspeet and then started his activities in 1974.

In 1974, it started selling gear pumps that are specifically assembled for the application. With customers such as Shell, Akzo Nobel, DSM but also innovative start-ups, Suurmond has developed over time into a specialist in the process industry. The gear pumps still play a major role in this. Increasingly often as part of a complete (dosing) system. The systems are created in close cooperation with the customer, our engineers, our sales engineers and our partners.

Over time, 3 locations were added and the portfolio was further expanded. For example, reactor systems were added since the eighties. The great thing about the portfolio is that cross-pollination takes place. For example, Suurmond also develops systems in which reactor and dosing system are combined, for example projects for developing new processes to recycle plastic.

What makes Suurmond unique?

Our approach is always about the best solution for the desired process. With a high level of technical expertise, our involvement and the high quality standards that Suurmond strives for, value can always be added for the customer. Because every project stands alone, it also remains an interesting challenge for our employees.

We are proud to have a 25-year anniversary for 3 years in a row! This year, Harry Westerink for 25 years as an engineer at Suurmond in Nunspeet.

Never boring

Precisely because there is so much variety and challenge in our profession and at Suurmond in particular, the work is never boring. The challenge to come up with and create a simple solution for a complex problem ensures that work in technology is never boring. Contributing to solutions for plastic recycling, for example, the development of new materials, and improving the quality of the end product is of course something you can be proud of.

Jubilee festivities

The kick-off took place on January 5, 2024 in the workshop in Nunspeet. A party for invitees!

In this light, we would like to see our customers in the Netherlands and the UK at one of our stands at the CHEMUK (Birmingham) and WOTS (Utrecht) fairs. We would like to see our Belgian customers by invitation at one of the beautiful selected locations in Belgium. They will be informed about this in time.
