Review of digital General Members Meeting
On October 28th, the association's General Members Meeting took place. Normally organized at an interesting (members) location, but this time in the form of an interactive Microsoft Teams meeting with 20 members present. In addition to the opening by chairman Jan-Kees van der Ven about, among other things, the effects of Covid-19 on the planned activities this year, the composition of the board, the review of the activities in 2019 and the finances, this time there was also extensive discussion about the set-up of the upcoming activities in a brainstorming session and about the digital possibilities of the website for the members.
The board will use the input from the brainstorming session to set up digital meetings in 2021. The preference was expressed for short digital sessions linked to a current theme. Together with the sessions that the association had already planned for this year and which have been postponed to 2021 plus the new ideas from the brainstorming session, an interesting activity program will certainly emerge. More information about this will follow!
We are also pleased to announce that the AGM unanimously welcomed two new board members; Niek Moonen from the University of Twente and Marc Berkouwer from FHI. Marc Berkouwer will take over the role of secretary from Paul Petersen (also from FHI). We would also like to thank Frank de Pon for temporarily filling his board position!
