From Tuesday 27 to Friday 30 September 2022, the Jaarbeurs in Utrecht was the stage for the WoTS fair. More than 15.5 thousand visitors walked around the five different worlds over four days. During the fair days, visitors could attend lectures on a variety of themes and visitors participated in X-peditions and projects.

After the WoTS 2020 could not take place due to the applicable corona measures, the enthusiasm of visitors about the varied lecture program and the progressive stands was clearly noticeable again this year. Hall 7 of the Jaarbeurs was transformed into the World of Laboratory during the fair.

This world was filled with more than 4,200 interested visitors during the fair week. Various seminar programs were prepared for these visitors during the days where topics such as working safely with unsafe substances and innovations in the sample workflow were discussed. In addition to the seminars, more than 700 visitors participated in one of the organized X-peditions.

The innovations of the companies that had a chance to win the TechAward were on display on the exhibition floor. The winners of the TechAwards from the various worlds were announced during the festive exhibitor drinks on Thursday, September 29. DENIOS BV won the TechAward of the World of Laboratory this year with their SpillGuard.

We are already looking forward to World of Technology & Science 2024, where we will encounter many facets of the past edition but also many new solutions. Because one thing is certain: technical development has never been so fast.
