Eco-Runner Team Delft is a Dutch student team developing an innovative, fuel-flexible car running on sustainable fuels. This involves an advanced micro gas turbine system For us, it is crucial to have sensors and regulators in place to keep track of this turbine. These all come together in what we call our main control PCB. This PCB brings together temperature, pressure and flow sensors, as well as communicating with our electromotor, fuel supply, and driver UI. EuroCircuits has been a crucial part in developing this unit, allowing us to quickly and confidently iterate over our designs using their easy to use platform.

Below is the final result, which we can now use to confidently regulate our car and be sure it is safe. To get to this point, we went through a few iterations, which we could quickly assemble and test due to EuroCircuits' fast delivery. Their PCB checking service also spotted flaws we had missed and saved us an iteration or two.

Not only for regulation, but also for ignition has EuroCircuits turned out to be useful. For igniting our biofuels, a powerful ignition coil is used which needs voltages up to 10,000V! These voltages are achieved using a custom-made ignition board. The high voltage means the ignition boards often break. Luckily, EuroCircuits allows us to quickly buy replacement boards when we go through our supply.
