Invitation to Lunch Session Toni Viheriakoski on October 4 and visit to Metafas

In the short term, two interesting ESD meetings are planned; an online lunch session by Toni Viheriakoski and a visit to Metafas. On October 4 from 13:00 – 14:00 Toni Viheriakoski will give an online lunch session on 'the need for ESD facilities in hospitals'. The presentation will be in English. See below the introduction of the speaker.

Toni Viheriäkoski completed his technical supervisor studies in information technology in 1994 while working in Nokia Networks. After establishing a calibration and electrostatics laboratory services for Nokia, he transferred to Nokia Siemens Networks in April 2007 where he continued his work as an electrostatics specialist and senior sourcing engineer until he moved on to his own company, Cascade Metrology Oy, which was previously established in 2005. Toni received iNARTE ESD engineer certification in 2004. Currently, he is working in the field of electrostatics and ESD risk analysis for healthcare, medical, electronics, automotive and process industries.

Metaphas
Unfortunately, we were forced to postpone the visit of Metafas in Asten today. At the moment, our ESD board member Bas Grootemaat, coordinator of this meeting, is sick at home. Get well soon Bas! Please put the new date of Friday 18 November in your agenda with a pencil (still subject to change)

Metaphas develops and produces front and control panels (user interfacing) and printed electronics in Asten, Brabant. To achieve this, they combine innovative production methods with specialist techniques and professional knowledge. For example, Metafas has DTP, Computer to Screen for screen exposure in-house.

During the morning, Metafas will give a presentation, we will be given a tour and of course we will look in particular at ESD safe working. After the tour we will discuss with the attendees about 'assessment of systems' in the light of the new IEC 61340-5-6 standard to be developed. The intention of this ESD session is also for the participants to share as many ideas as possible with each other. We will conclude the meeting with a lunch and a summary of the session and the action points. Board member Bas Grootemaat will coordinate this session.
