Wireless devices must be tested before they are released onto the market. That's a pretty obvious statement. It is desirable for both the receiving and transmitting parts to generate and analyze signals in accordance with the relevant standards. Joan Mercade on behalf of Acal BFI, during the RF Technology event, will address the challenge of multi-channel RF and mW vector signal generation and analysis for 5G, WiFi6, Massive MIMO, Beamforming and Car Infotainment control, emulation and test.
To test the receiving portion of a wireless device, a signal generator is required, which will generate a standard-compliant signal. Testing the transmitter requires a signal analyzer, which analyzes the RF signal sent by a wireless device.
Joan Mercade's presentation will discuss a completely new digital architecture for generating and analyzing vector signals, made possible by the latest generation of Arbitrary Waveform Transceivers (AWT). They can improve channel density and performance, simplify installation complications and improve experiment efficiency.
Solutions for multiple relevant application areas, such as for 5G, WiFi6, Massive MIMO, Beamforming and Car Infotainment, will be showcased, highlighting the benefits in terms of integration, cost per channel and performance.
