Renewed IT Infrastructure event offers visitors the latest insights
Development and growth, the IT world is characterized by it. Enough reason to rename the IT Room Infra event to the IT Infra event. Together with a renewed lecture program and a new location, IT Infra must be given a broad scope in which the latest developments are highlighted, say Elbert Raben (Rittal), Ronald Udo (AP Nederland BV) and André Zweverink (De Wit Datacenterkoeling).
According to Ronald Udo, the name change to IT Infra event was obvious: The event now concerns so much more than just computer rooms. It concerns hardware, software, (hybrid) cloud and innovation. The name IT Infra therefore covers more and also attracts a broader audience. We stand for development and growth and therefore want to show that in the scope of the event.”
This broader scope will be extended to the lectures. Udo: “We are now following a two-track approach. On the one hand, we want to deliver quality by having key note speakers speak throughout the day who are able to provide added value to the knowledge event. On the other hand, our members are the carriers of the event and they speak in the second track to mainly share the innovations in short presentations.”
Current topics
Raben already gives a glimpse into the themes that will be discussed: “The topics include edge computing and 5G continuity.” André Zweverink adds and tells more about one of the tracks, called 'Koeling en Power': “The slots in the morning sessions are about current standards, performance indicators (KPIs) to be applied, the design of your data center infrastructure and management system. (DCIM) and provide framework sketches for the cooling system to be used.”
He continues: “In the afternoon session we will look at which cooling systems best suit the wishes and the choices made in the earlier morning session. The various suppliers provide a clear overview of the possibilities.”
Other event location
The new location – the Kromhouthal in Amsterdam – will also attract more visitors: “We are now in the heart of IT Netherlands, the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area (MRA). This will result in more visitors with a lot of IT/ICT knowledge, both as users and end users,” says Raben. “And visitors have less travel time, there is more atmosphere and there is a networking meeting beforehand. But above all: growth!”, Udo adds.
Udo is clear: “The adjustments to the lecture program and other changes in emphasis will make this year's IT Infra event even more attractive. We create extra added value and greater attractiveness for the visitor. This of course gives the members and exhibitors many advantages. A positive spiral!”
He continues: “A potential visitor must ask himself: Am I 100% ready for the future in IT Infrastructure? If not, then I must be present at this event to hear what we have to say. If so, you should be at this event to tell us what we need to know. In short: no reason to stay away.”
