During the corona pandemic, society has experienced various moments of crisis that have been handled with expertise by experts. How did this go in healthcare, through production, with corona tests and in the development of vaccines? How can lessons from this time be used in the future? On Thursday afternoon, September 29, experts will share their story and vision of the future.

Collaboration for good care

Healthcare has been facing challenges for decades to serve the health of society in a proper way. In the first wave of the corona pandemic, the demand for protective equipment exploded and a crisis organization was needed.

Rob van der Kolk talks about this time when he was able to lead the National Consortium of Aids as coordinator. He talks about the strength and success of the intensive collaboration between healthcare, science and industry. He also discusses the current challenges at hospitals, where the need to bring together an innovative and effective landscape is still important. What lessons have been learned? What are the possibilities for the future of healthcare?

Pier Eringa, chairman of Testing for Access, does not discuss the various corona tests during his presentation, but the importance of logistics, the expertise of the collaborating partners and the decisiveness of the organization in times of crisis. Again, the question is: how can we learn from this work for the future?

Jan Groen, CEO of Intravacc, concludes the seminar program with a presentation on vaccine development and scaling up production.
