Dutch startups can once again apply to qualify for the Seed Capital scheme. The private sector and the government have made 67.5 million euros of additional venture capital available for this purpose. This is spread across six new investment funds, each with a different focus, such as sustainability or software.

This extra money comes from the so-called Seed Capital scheme of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate (EZK). This scheme contains funds that are filled by both private investors and the government. For example, of the total extra amount of 67.5 million euros, 32 million euros comes from EZK.

If a startup is promised venture capital, the government will contribute a maximum of 50 percent. The six new Seed Capital funds all have a different focus. For example, the Borskifonds only invests in female entrepreneurs. CaptalT invests in startups that are active in data and software solutions for healthcare, education and business operations, among other things.

Startups can find more information on the website of the RVO. Here is also an overview of all Seed Capital funds that are still accepting applications. The new tender has been open since October 1.
