World of Industry, Technology & Science 2026: technology for the industry of tomorrow

The Benelux's largest technology trade fair returns to Utrecht

April 9, 2026

From September 22 to 25, 2026, Jaarbeurs Utrecht will be the venue for the World of Industry, Technology & Science (WoTS). The largest technology trade fair in the Benelux brings together professionals from industry, electronics, and laboratory technology around current innovations and strategic developments in their field.

With three worlds—World of Industry, World of Electronics, and World of Laboratory—WoTS offers a complete overview of technological advancements and practical applications on the exhibition floor. This gives visitors a clear picture of what is happening within their field and what the future holds.

“The sector is in a phase where digitalization, automation, and sustainability are no longer isolated developments, but reinforce each other. WoTS 2026 shows how these technologies can be directly deployed in production and development environments,” says FHI Director Andreas Meijer.

Focus on AI, digitalization and sustainable technology

The exhibition opens with a keynote by AI expert Jarno Duursma, who addresses the impact of generative AI on industrial processes and the changing role of human-machine interaction. The program includes dozens of substantive sessions on topics including:

  • AI and machine learning in industrial automation
  • Data-driven engineering and production
  • Cybersecurity in OT environments
  • Sustainable and energy-efficient technologies

Over six hundred exhibitors and well-known international players

On the exhibition floor, more than six hundred exhibitors showcase their latest systems, products, and solutions. Participants include international players such as Honeywell, Schneider Electric, Mitsubishi Electric Europe, Rockwell Automation, and Routeco.
New in 2026 is the startup street, where young technology companies present their innovations.

Demonstrations, theme pavilions and Tech Trophy

This year, WoTS is introducing a gadget in all worlds for the first time. Visitors collect parts for a calibrated EMI meter in the World of Electronics, or build a LEGO gadget in the World of Industry and the World of Laboratory.

In addition, the exhibition offers various themed pavilions and live demonstrations where interested parties can see technology in action. A Cyber Security Escape Room is set up in the World of Industry. In the World of Electronics, visitors vote for the most innovative electronic solution during the Tech Trophy Award.

There is also a focus on young professionals and career switchers. For instance, there are free CV scans by HR experts, and a professional photographer takes professional profile photos for LinkedIn.

About the organization
WoTS is organized by FHI, FEDA, and Macheva & Bulk Vereniging. FHI represents over 650 companies in the technology industry and promotes knowledge sharing and innovation within the sector.
