WoTS Press Release
PRESS RELEASE
WoTS 2026 brings industry, electronics, and laboratory technology together at the largest tech trade fair in the Benelux.
May 21, 2026
From September 22 to 25, 2026, Jaarbeurs Utrecht will be the venue for the World of Industry, Technology & Science (WoTS). The largest technology trade fair in the Benelux brings together professionals from industry, electronics, and laboratory technology around current innovations and strategic developments in their field.
With three worlds—World of Industry, World of Electronics, and World of Laboratory—WoTS offers a complete overview of technological advancements and practical applications on the exhibition floor. This gives visitors a clear picture of what is happening within their field and what the future holds.
Digitalization, AI, and sustainable technology in all three worlds
“The sector is in a phase where digitalization, automation, and sustainability are no longer isolated developments, but reinforce each other. WoTS shows how these technologies can be directly deployed in laboratories, production, and development environments,” says FHI Director Andreas Meijer. “On the exhibition floor, that deployability becomes visible in all three worlds.”
AI expert Jarno Duursma gives two keynotes during the trade fair week on the influence of generative AI on industrial processes, electronics development, and laboratory automation.
The substantive program includes dozens of presentations, including on:
- AI and machine learning in industrial automation, embedded systems and lab research
- Data-driven engineering, electronics design and analytical workflows
- Cybersecurity in OT environments and connected devices
- Sustainable technologies for manufacturing, electronics, and laboratories
Over four hundred exhibitors and well-known international players
More than four hundred exhibitors are showcasing their latest systems, products, and solutions. Participants include international players such as Honeywell, Schneider Electric, Mitsubishi Electric Europe, Rockwell Automation, and Routeco. In addition, leading companies from electronics and laboratory technology are presenting their innovations, including measurement and testing equipment, sensor technology, analytical instruments, and life science equipment.
Demonstrations, theme pavilions and High Tech Trophy
This year, WoTS is introducing a gadget in all worlds for the first time. Visitors collect parts for a calibrated EMI meter in the World of Electronics, or build a LEGO gadget in the World of Industry and the World of Laboratory.
Each world also offers its own demonstrations and pavilions, including:
- World of Industry: live Ethernet APL demo, student pavilion and Smart Industry Plaza.
- World of Electronics: Development Pavilion, student teams and demos of test and measurement equipment.
- World of Laboratory: X-peditions, mini-symposium 'Designing and furnishing laboratories' and various workshops and expert sessions.
In all worlds, visitors can vote for the High Tech Trophy Award for the most innovative solution.
