Thermal management versus EMI:

This demo demonstrates the direct link between thermal design and EMC. Using different gap fillers, we visualize the effect on heat dissipation and temperature distribution. At the same time, we measure the impact of these thermal choices on conducted EMC emissions. We then demonstrate how cable ferrites influence and can reduce these emissions. The demo clearly shows that thermal solutions have not only thermal but also electromagnetic consequences, and that thermal and EMI design must be considered together.
