25 years of AEMAS

Aemas started in 1999 as a laboratory specialized in very difficult elemental analyses for ICP-OES and ICP-MS (Atomic Emission MAss Spectroscopy). Since 2005, when the representation of Teledyne Leeman Labs started, the focus has shifted and the knowledge/experience from the specialized elemental analysis has been included in the sale of instruments for performing elemental analyses and the automation thereof. In the meantime, Aemas sells and advises for elemental analysis by means of ICP-OES with nitrogen plasma (RADOM), Hg analyzers, TOC analyzers, sample changers, standards preparation, (lubricating) oil thinners, etc.

All this equipment is present in our application and demonstration laboratory in Oosterhout (NB). Here applications are developed for our customers and suppliers.

Aemas stands for service and customer focus. We work together with the customer towards a solution. At Aemas we say, we do not sell instruments, we sell applications/solutions and that includes an instrument.

The latest addition to our pallet is a unique system; the Radom MICAP-1000, an emission spectrometer with an inductively coupled nitrogen plasma and a microwave generator. This system is much more environmentally friendly compared to an argon plasma. Nitrogen can be generated on site (nitrogen from air with a nitrogen generator): this saves a lot of energy compared to argon production and there is no need for expensive transport.

Analytically, the MICAP-1000 offers great advantages in complex matrices. Because mainly atomic lines are measured in the somewhat colder plasma, there are almost no spectral disturbances of ion lines. In short, the MICAP-1000 has a bright future.
